Alexandra Mitlianskaya was born in 1958 in Moscow, where she lives and works today. Since 1978 she has participated in many regional exhibitions of young artists and book designers. In 1981 she graduated from the Faculty of Art Book Design of Moscow at the Institute of Polygraphy. Mitlianskaya became a member of the Artist’s Union of Russia in 1989. In 1995 she was grant-holder of the Berlin Academy of Arts.
