Galerie Blue Square is pleased to present a unique exhibition of works by Stasys in coordination with the premiere and Paris screening of BOUZKACHI: Chant of the Steppes, a film by Jacques Debs, co-produced by ARTE GEIE and Les Films d'Ici.
The film takes place in the steppes of Central Asia where the artist documents the characters and ambiance of the fairy tale. The gallery will present the 10-meter long fresco created by Stasys during the making of the film and his pastels of the characters who pass by his yurt as he draws.
Stasys was born in Lithuania and lives in Poland. He has won numerous awards for his creative work, which includes paintings, graphics and illustrations, photography, installations, poetry, films and playwriting.
BOUZKACHI: Chant of the Steppes will be broadcast on Arte on 22 February at 22h35 and Bodega will release the film in Paris theatres on 25 February 2009.
