leonid tishkov at grand palais

April 02 2019 - May 18 2019

La Lune celebrates the 50 year anniversary of the first human steps on the moon.  Leonid Tishkov exhibits photographic works from his Private Moon series as well as an installation of his crescent moon.  The luminious trek of the artist around the world takes shape in this beautiful surrealist series.  Often shot in deserted landscapes filled with blue light, the private moon and often his solo companion travel from the Arctic Circle to New Zealand, Japan and the Ural mountains.  Tishkov's private moon descends and rests on earth bringing to light the poetry of the world.

The exhibition is on view until July 22, 2019.
