Culture House DC announced the opening of its outdoor space, Avant Garden, with a major installation by Mark Kelner, Pleasure's Promise. The 120 foot mural uses the aesthetics of advertising (in this case, Newport cigarettes) and the language of commercial marketing to critique and study the American Dream. The exhibition will be on view until the end of February.
