Dianne Beal has worked as an independent curator and art dealer promoting contemporary Russian art since 1989 through the organization of non-profit and commercial exhibitions as well as curatorial assignments and lectures.
Dianne Beal and Vincent Sator co-founded Galerie Blue Square in October 2007 at 14 rue Debelleyme in the Marais district of Paris.
In 2011, Dianne Beal moved back to Washington, DC where she re-opened Galerie Blue Square in Georgetown. Vincent Sator plans to open his own gallery in Paris and the two continue to collaborate on joint projects.
Ms. Beal works to introduce private collectors, galleries and museums to the largely unknown world of contemporary Russian art. She first traveled to the former Soviet Union in 1979 and returns regularly to meet artists, museum curators, and collectors.
